International Night 🌍
Thursday, we held parent-teacher conferences for all Pre-IB and IB1 students, a day that concluded with the traditional “International Night”.
The school’s assembly hall, called "Festsalen", provided the setting for an update on the IB programme by Mads Fedder Henriksen, Head of the IB programme. In addition, students gave several presentations, including one about their recent study trip to Stavanger, Norway. IB2 students also brought the evening together with several musical performances.
Around 100 students and parents attended International Night, which was also livestreamed for parents who were unable to attend in person at Viborg Katedralskole.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, both in person and online! 😊

Andreas Haagen Birch
IB day for the PreIB classes
This week, our IB2 students shared their experience of the IB subjects with PreIB students in the `IB subject fair’.
This was a first step on the ladder leading to the PreIB students choosing the right IB subject combination next year.
The exercise is not an easy one. All PreIB students can only choose six subjects - as part of a variety of combinations 🤔.
Next year, we offer music and global politics as new subject opportunities.
🧳 IB2 Study Trip to Stavanger 🧳
Our IB2 students, who are in their third and final year of the IB programme, have just returned from an intensive three-day study trip to Stavanger, Norway.
A visit to the private IB school, International School of Stavanger, gave our students the opportunity to gain a closer insight into subjects such as Design & Technology and Global Politics, as well as take on a specially designed and challenging Escape Room.
Later in the trip, researchers at the research institute NORCE demonstrated how scientists investigate the subsurface for oil deposits and, perhaps even more importantly, how oil is extracted from beneath the ground.
We hope you had a great trip to Stavanger – a region where, according to legend, Norway was united during the Viking Age.
