Furnishing Your Room
Everyone has their own room. There is a double wardrobe, curtains, and ceiling lamps in all rooms. Other furnishings must be provided by yourself.
You can buy furniture for your room through Vines Erhvervsmøbler. Orders and questions about furniture should be directed to Michael Bak at michael@vines.dk. You can see the selection of furniture and prices here.
It is also possible to buy furniture, etc., from other residents. If you use this option, please note that the boarding school takes no responsibility for any transactions. Furniture can be stored at the boarding school over the summer, but the boarding school cannot be held responsible for any damage. You can see what other boarders have for sale here.
“
What do the students say?
“I chose to live at Kolle for the independence, the close-knit community, the parties, and because I can live close to my friends. It’s also amazing to live near the school and have my meals prepared every day.”

Clubs at the boarding school
At the boarding school, we have 10–15 clubs. They are run by our boarders together with Nina, who is our club-responsible boarding school teacher. The boarders themselves decide which club(s) they want to be part of and participate to the extent they have time and energy for. The clubs vary from year to year, as they depend on our 173 residents. However, we almost always have the following clubs, which are then supplemented by the clubs that the boarders prefer:
Creative and Knitting Club
Once a week, there is a cozy gathering with knitting and other creative projects in the boarding school’s lounge. You don’t need to be experienced or skillful to participate. There is always someone to help you get better at knitting.
Film Club
Every Thursday evening, the Film Club ensures that a movie is shown in the boarding school’s cinema. It can be anything from romantic comedies to horror films. Often, the boarding school’s own popcorn machine will also be fired up, so the atmosphere and smell of going to the cinema are just right.
KBK Football Club
Kolle Bold Klub is for those boarders who are interested in playing football. The team trains once a week right outside the boarding school on the school’s football fields. In addition, the team plays matches against, among others, other classes at the school.
Party Committee
The boarding school’s party committee is responsible for planning and running the four annual parties at the boarding school. The parties are held in the boarding school’s party rooms.
Baking Club
If you enjoy baking, the baking club is perfect. The baking club meets 1–2 times a month to bake various cakes and, of course, eat the cakes afterward.
Quiz Club
Every Monday evening, there is a music quiz or another type of quiz in the dining hall. There is a cozy atmosphere and competition in knowledge about music and all sorts of other things.
Volleyball Club
The boarding school’s volleyball club plays volleyball in the school’s hall one afternoon a week. Everyone who wants to play volleyball is welcome.
Boarding School Band
If you enjoy music and can play an instrument, you can join the boarding school’s band, which meets to jam.
Book Club
The book club meets to talk about books. They read the same book and meet regularly to discuss the books they have read.
House Rules and Other Relevant Information
When living at the boarding school, there are a number of house rules and duties to follow, to ensure everyone is considerate. You can read about house rules, duties, homework café, meal times, and holiday closures on this page.
House Rules
Social life at the boarding school requires consideration, thoughtfulness, and civilised behaviour from everyone. Therefore, boarders are expected to behave properly:
- Towards fellow boarders and staff
- In relation to the boarding school’s buildings and facilities
- During other activities related to the boarding school
Civilised behaviour also means that all rules and staff instructions must be followed unconditionally, and that everyone must participate in shared duties at the boarding school.
When you apply to the boarding school, you and your parents also sign that you have read and understood the boarding school’s rules.
Meal Times in the Dining Hall
The food is aimed at young people. We strive for a healthy and nutritious diet, creating a good everyday and weekend, where meals in the dining hall also serve as a social gathering point. Special dietary needs can be accommodated, and you can choose vegetarian or vegan food if you wish.

Holidays
The boarding school is open on all weekdays, weekends, and public holidays not part of holidays of at least one week. The boarding school is completely closed during autumn, Christmas, winter, Easter, and summer holidays. The boarding school closes on the last school day before the holiday at 17:00 and reopens the day before school starts at 10:00. It is not possible for boarders to stay at the boarding school during holidays, so parents must ensure their child has somewhere to stay during holidays.
